Tell us about your ideas and dreams. If visions have slumbered in you for ages, we would like to give you an impetus with the SPORTPITCH to make this a reality. We would like to support you in finding the right partner for the next development steps.
The SPORTPITCH would like to bring your sport idea in front of the curtain and offer it a stage!
2021 is set to go down in Austrian sports history as the year of the restart and this will require active support. Because sport not only makes a physical contribution to our society on playing fields, in halls or arenas. The health economic effects of sport have an inestimable value and direct and indirect influence on all areas of common interaction.
For this reason, LAOLA1, in cooperation with ORF and Sportbox, brings the SPORTPITCH to life. A project that aims to offer a platform for the diversity of Austrian sport. A platform to present ideas on how sport can independently maintain itself in an economically sustainable manner.
We are looking for projects and ideas for Austrian sports and all those who do sports in Austria – in all sports. Regardless of whether it is of an organizational, content, technical, financial, legal or social nature. Whether as an idea or already implemented and worth rolling it out more broadly.
The SPORTPITCH offers you the platform for ideas that bring more people to sport, intensify the sporting experience, make access to sport easier, improve organization and of course increase sustainability. What kind of ideas can that be in concrete terms?
Some examples:
- Do you sell products, offer services or develop digital solutions that would make life easier for many athletes in Austria, but you still lack media attention?
- Have you yourself initiated local initiatives that would deserve to be rolled out across Austria – for example in the form of young talent or inclusion projects?
- Do you have methods in mind of how athletes, clubs, schools or other sports-related facilities can make them more efficient and sustainable? Whether communication / administration, financial feasibility or training methods – everything is welcome! We support you in networking with the right partners.
We look forward to your submissions. Whether clubs with exceptional young talent projects, start-ups with new products or services related to sports, leagues or associations with a special focus on promoting athletes with handicaps or even individual athletes with visionary concepts behind them, they may die, but they may never get the attention, they die to earn.
The SPORTPITCH would like to bring red-white-red sport ideas in front of the curtain, give them a stage and support them in realizing your dreams and visions in order to promote the sport country.
Particularly noteworthy in this context is the alliance of Sport Austria, the domestic umbrella associations ASKÖ, ASVÖ and Sportunion, as well as Sporthilfe and the Ministry of Sports, all of which not only welcome the SPORTPITCH very much, but also actively support it.
From September 25th you will have the opportunity to present and apply in the form of a short video. The best projects are broadcast in various SPORTPITCH formats on the LAOLA1 and ORF channels. The ORF supports this with comprehensive reporting in all ORF media.
The most promising projects and candidates will ultimately be invited to a final broadcast on ORF, where they will have the opportunity to present themselves to a multi-member jury.
Customized media services and presences on the channels of LAOLA1 and ORF or specific advice from the specialist committees for the further development of the projects await the winners. In addition, funding from members of the Board of Trustees led by Roland Schmid is made available for selected projects.
What do we expect from your applications? Simply present your project to us and all of Austria as a two-minute short video.
Please make sure to describe both your idea / project and the benefits. It often helps to describe the initial situation in brief words and why you / you came up with the idea. Normally, it is now sufficient to record the video with a normal smartphone. Please make sure that your clip does not last longer than 2 minutes and does not extend a size of 250 MB. You ensure the best quality by producing the recording in landscape format and with the camera on the back (also on the back of your smartphone instead of the selfie camera). Balanced lighting conditions without backlighting such as sun rays and the avoidance of interfering noises such as strong winds would be ideal. Of course, you can also visualize your ideas and concepts using sketches or other representations. If you are unable to record a video, we would also be happy to receive a presentation of your project by email [email protected].
There is also the possibility to nominate strong ideas from others! Just send a short description, links and contact person [email protected] send! Cool prizes will be raffled among all nominees!
When does it start?
The application phase starts on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 at 00:01 a.m. and ends on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.
