Berlin (AP) – Two victories for Hertha BSC, two defeats for 1. FC Union: With these last unusual omens, the Berlin clubs go into the sixth game day of the Bundesliga. Hertha can continue the last upward trend shown today (3.30 p.m. / Sky) with a success at the ailing runner-up RB Leipzig and after a long time re-establish themselves in the upper half of the table.
After the defeats in the European Cup at Slavia Prague and in the league at Borussia Dortmund at the same time in the home game against Arminia Bielefeld, the iron ones need a sense of achievement once again. The last victory dates back to August. The statistics speak for Union. The East Westphalia have never won in Köpenick in ten attempts. Less than a year ago, coach Urs Fischer’s team celebrated the highest Bundesliga victory in club history in a 5-0 win.
While at Union only the use of defense chief Robin Knoche is questionable, coach Pal Dardai is missing three important defenders in the guest appearance in Leipzig in captain Dedryck Boyata, Jordan Torunarigha and Lukas Klünter.
