The Government Council validated the announcements made by the competent ministers in September during a press conference.
The Government Council decided on Friday to introduce a new system so that people without access to the vaccine can continue to benefit from PCR tests free of charge. From September 27 and until December 31 initially, these tests will be available with the help of vouchers distributed to the persons concerned and valid in accredited laboratories.
Children aged 6 to 11 will automatically receive five vouchers, in addition to the screening offered in schools. People over the age of 11, but for whom the Covid-19 vaccine is not recommended to submit a request to the Department of Health in order to obtain these five vouchers. Students requiring a PCR test to travel abroad as part of their studies can also apply to ACEL.
This Friday, the ministers also validated the national digital inclusion action plan which must avoid exclusion in the context of the digitization of society. In addition, two Grand-Ducal regulations were also adopted concerning the contributions of the Luxembourg army in Mozambique during an EU training mission as well as within the framework of a NATO mission in Iraq.
