Greuther Fürth – Bayern Munich: 1-3
Bayern : T. Muller (10th), J. Kimmich (31st), Sebastian Griesbeck (csc, 68th)
Greuther Furth : Itten (88th)
David didn’t get over Goliath this Friday night. In this shock of extremes between the red lantern and the leader of the championship, at the opening of the 6th day of the Bundesliga, it is the favorite who emerged victorious. As often, in the end it is always Bayern who wins, Greuther Fürth paid the price (1-3). Never worried, Julian Nagelsmann’s men have fully assumed their status. The Bavarians made the game easy by opening the scoring very quickly through Thomas Muller (10th). Picked cold, the promoted, still looking for a first success this season in the Bundesliga, had all the trouble in the world to try to thwart the plans of the outgoing champion. More incisive, aggressive, Robert Lewandowski’s teammates made the break thanks to Joshua Kimmich (31st), concluding an almost perfect first period.
Leit’s men were far too weak to hope for anything other than defeat. And yet, from the start of the second period, Benjamin Pavard received a red card which could have totally revived the match (48th). It was not, the Bayern players resumed their march forward and even allowed themselves the luxury of worsening the score in numerical inferiority, on a but against his camp signed Sebastian Griesbeck (68th). Then they just manage quietly until the end. But suddenly, a clearing intervened for the premises, igniting the stadium: Itten saved the honor with a nice goal from the head (88th). The only downside for a Bayern Munich which chains a 7th victory in a row in all competitions and asserts itself a little more as the undisputed master of the Bundesliga, at the top of the standings. The leaders of the German championship can now turn to the Champions League. They host Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday (9 p.m.).
