The airline Norwegian is considering establishing more domestic routes in Denmark, writes Check-in.dk.

– Right now we are looking specifically at the domestic routes in Denmark, and we like routes where competitions are low. This means in particular that it is something to pick up for an airline like us, says Norwegian Danish communications manager Andreas Hjørnholm to the website.

Norwegian currently flies Danish domestic between Copenhagen and Aalborg, a fast route since 2008, can only be used for a short period during the corona pandemic. Today, there are 43 weekly departures on the route each way.

Norsk has previously tried other domestic routes, such as Billund, Karup and Bornholm.

The company confirms that these are among the destinations as assessments.

– Yes, these are some of the routes we are talking about. However, we have not made any decision yet, but we are looking at it for the moment, says Hjørnholm at CHECK-IN.

He adds that in some of the mentioned routines you can already see that the traffic is stable and relatively large. At the same time, Norwegian costs still have a part of the competitors, points out the communications manager.
