Junior Brielle’s new EP is released today “Expensive & sacred”. A six-track record sprung from the dream of playing live again. The brothers’ first real gig after a year of waiting was to take place at Slaktkyrkan on 12 November. They can not be used for 30 seconds, but it can be a day after canceling concerts due to new restrictions. Expensive & Holy has sprung from exactly that feeling, and it is almost possible to touch in every single track.
The EP contains the previously released singles “Best in Sweden”, “DBSR” and “Life is wonderful”. The new songs will be added “Follow”, “Hot Kids (feat. North Pole)” and “Super Speed Sound Akalla”.
“About a year ago, David sent a demo that made me manically start feeding down strokes on my air guitar and screaming improvised tunes. After 4-5 listenings and some recorded voice memos, I called David who told me that the song had evoked the same type of behavior in him in the studio. Then I began to think about why it is so. Why do we abandon our apathetic exterior and go crazy in 3:45 off and especially good song. For me and David, it is still because we imagine that we are on the Main Stage at Storsjöyran, Saturday at 23:00 and play the said song. We’re probably not really there yet, but the dream of that is all we have. This is the reason why we make music, and that’s why we moved 520 km from Brunflo to Akalla and this shitty city. On Friday the 6th of November we release Dyrt & Heligt. An album about everything we hope to get up again. And the North Pole is on a song “
