Janša: From Friday, restrictions on the transition between regions, masks in the red regions are also mandatory outdoors
The government has taken new measures in Brdo pri Kranju to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Slovenia is closing again, unlike in the spring. The government has decided to tentatively announce the premiere Janez Janša. As he said, Slovenia is currently between the orange and red phase, the number of nature infections, the number of patients is also increasing. Currently, there are seven of the twelve statistical regions that broadcast a 14-day incidence (meaning that we have more than 140 infected per 100,000 population in a single region over a fourteen-day period). Five regions are still in orange or yellow. According to Janša, the government has decided to take some measures for the entire country, and some only for individual regions. The measures will, for the most part, take effect on Friday, and some on Monday.
Distance learning from the 5th grade of primary school and in secondary schools from Monday
From Monday onwards, classes in primary schools from 5th grade onwards will be held at a distance, the same in secondary schools. “For higher education and universities, it should be recommended that activities be carried out remotely as much as possible,” said Janša.
During the week of the potato holidays, the government will assess whether these measures should be taught at a distance to be extended, gradually relaxed or further tightened, given the size at the time. “We reckon that a 14-day holiday will allow the situation to stabilize or at least the trends to be partially reversed,” said the prime minister.
Renewal of tourist vouchers
Among the measures taken, Janša also emphasized the extension of tourist vouchers in the next year, which will be implemented within the framework of the fifth anti-crown law, which will be adopted tomorrow in the National Assembly.
The law will add the possibility for the government to extend the validity of tourist vouchers regarding the assessment of situations. “Regarding the restrictions that would apply and will come into force in the coming days, if those who have not yet used tourist vouchers are not afraid that the deadline will expire and that this option will not be available for them next year,” he explained.
According to Janša, the measures that will apply to the entire country are aimed at activating additional reserves in the Slovenian healthcare system.
Measures to be applied in the seven red regions
As a rule, the measures of the third package of the orange phase will enter into force in the red regions from Friday onwards – until then they will cover all events gathering over 10 people, restrict certain service activities, restrict certain sports activities, restrict movement between regions – this restriction will apply to regions , which are colored red, for these regions will be introduced mandatory wearing of masks everywhere, even outdoors, except with the prescribed exceptions.
Government spokesman for covid-19 Jelko Kacin He announced that the details of the measures taken would be presented at Thursday’s press conference, which will be attended by ministers from four ministries.
Restriction of gathering and socializing
In the region, which ends on the red list, the government temporarily banned the gathering of more than 10 people on Friday. Some general bans will also be introduced, but the details are important tomorrow. According to Televizija Slovenija, weddings with a maximum of 10 people will be allowed. Events up to 500 researchers who already have a positive opinion from the NIJZ will be allowed, it is not yet known what will happen to future major events.
Restriction of movement of people and mandatory outdoor masks
The movement of people between regions will also be restricted. This restriction will apply to regions that are colored red, and mandatory wearing of masks will be introduced for these regions everywhere, including outdoors. As Janša explained, exceptions will also apply. “Exceptions are practically the same as the exceptions that applied to crossing municipal borders in the spring. Everything that is necessary will be accessible,” Janša explained.
Ohdelimitation of certain services and activities
According to Televizija Slovenija, inns are being closed in the red regions, except in accommodation establishments. Fitness centers are also closing, and only one client will be allowed in beauty and hair salons.
Call for action at local level
“We are aware that a temporary partial restriction on movement or certain measures in statistical regions alone will not be precise enough,” said Janez Janša in a statement. “Some regions are so big in the problem are mainly individual outbreaks. Individual outbreaks are also a problem in regions that are not red, and even in these regions we have municipalities that cross the border and are essentially red. Therefore, I urge the mayors of these municipalities, to take, within the framework of their competences for municipal premises and facilities, the appropriate measures in force in the red regions, “ the prime minister addressed the mayors, adding that they would thus avoid further tightening of measures.
Abandonment of non-essential medical examinations
Non-essential medical and dental activities are also expected to be abandoned. But not everywhere. At least in the first phase, the decision on which examinations and procedures to cancel will be left to the hospitals themselves in terms of staffing and space, the Minister of Health announced. Tomaž Gantar. All tagged activities necessarily v very quick however, they must be implemented at any time.
Dentists do not want to close activities
Dentists are otherwise crucial to the epidemiological situation they do not want to shut down dental activity. As they point out, such a measure would put all patients who are now in the middle of treatment at an extremely disadvantage, as well as those who will need such treatments at a time when whip offices would be closed and emergencies could be treated.
The Medical Chambers of Slovenia have announced that the Dental Committee is in contact with the covid-19 advisory group at the Ministry of Health. Thus, they make constructive proposals that would enable the maintenance of the operation of surgeries regarding the current epidemiological situation, to the point of abandoning long-term aerosol procedures, which are thus the most critical for the transmission of infection in the dentist’s office.
“If the covid-19 advisory expert group or the government decides on certain precise decisions to close all health, dentistry will most likely be subject to the same protocols as the first value of the epidemic. If we want that pride, we want it to be measures shall be limited in time as far as possible, “ they wrote in the chamber.
Passenger transport as now – subject to measures
State Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure Aleš Mihelič he explained that for now they do not intend to present public passenger transport. To avoid this, passengers can be used when using the #StayHealth apps. In fact, drivers report that some passengers do not report their warnings regarding compliance with preventive measures, such as the use of a mask.
Director of passenger transport of Slovenian Railways Darja Kocjan she said the trains are at peak times “better full than you’d like”, but have all available means of transport in circulation. He advised retirees, and the easiest way to use external timeouts. She added that otherwise passengers on the Wallachian Slovenian Railways, in her experience, report the use of now better instructions than some time ago.
