He leaves SD in protest – so SD looks at homosexuals – QX
He leaves SD in protest – that’s how SD views homosexuals
Jesper Nilsson, former district chairman of SDU in Västmanland, believes that the zero tolerance for racism, sexism and homophobic expressions does not satisfy the party members. Please also read about: SD member: You should be proud that you are not gay. Below is Jesper Nilsson’s blog post:
Now I’m leaving SD. I who was: district chairman of SDU Västmanland, nominated to SDU’s federal board, elected to both the municipal council and the county council, also vice chairman of the municipal association and elected to the party’s district board, has therefore chosen to leave all these positions to completely abandon it. The Sweden Democratic movement.
In the spring of 2014, I became district chairman of SDU. Now I would get to experience the problems that exist within the union regarding women. Expressions like “fucking what body she has” and “her ass, completely sick!” I find it terribly embarrassing, and made me feel very bad.
During the election campaign for the Riksdag in 2014, we were three boys and a girl from SDU who were to have a meeting when my phone rang and I had to leave for a while. The two men who remained laughed in their “masculine” way and encouraged women to “go forward and pinch my ass” and things like that to make me stop talking. Who in good conscience can recommend and young woman to get involved in a movement with this type of language use?
Regarding homophobia, it is not at all unusual for homosexuality to match having a team with animals. A completely crazy Match in my opinion, but difficult to point out for a Sweden Democrat. I will never forget how the youth union at its annual congress voted no to advocating for homosexuals’ right to civil marriage.
One of the arguments, seen by many as the strongest, was: “it is ideologically deviant.” Personally, I could never imagine that ideology can look a homosexual in the eye and say, “You must not start a family because it goes against my ideology.” That is, of course, a totally unreasonable reasoning. In addition, it is already allowed under Swedish law.
The caution of conservatism in all its glory, but there are no attempts to make a U-turn straight back to hell. In this movement, however, it is perfectly legitimate to consider LGBTQ people to be a collection of unnatural deviations.
A clear example of the reprehensible opinions that exist within the party is the time when we co-exist with the County Council Assembly. We come, as is fairly common, into a discussion of LGBTQ issues. As usual, I advocated for homosexuals’ right to adoption, of which comments such as “How do you think !?” and “Are you a feminist?” appeared. I sighed and took a rather banal example: “If a starving child in Uganda can get better with a gay couple in Sweden, it is only positive, isn’t it?” But, no, then I was apparently for “mass immigration”.
During the election campaign, statements from representatives who called people parasites, n-words and everything. SD claims to have zero tolerance for ideologically dissenting opinions. Of course, you can have a formal zero tolerance, but in the case of SD, it does not extend beyond avoiding expressing certain opinions on social media.
But even if the values are not always expressed that way in the media, they are still there. They do not care that members and representatives have such unknown opinions and values, as long as they do not express them in public. They probably understand that if members were not allowed to express these, SD would have to exclude so many members that they would no longer have a party. Thus, I realize that my role is finished playing as I counteract everyone earlier of racism, sexism and homophobia!
