Ceremonial doctorate: 45 new doctors from the Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg threw their doctoral hats
In the unique ambience of Hangar-7
Salzburg (OTS) – In the special ambience of Hangar-7 in Salzburg, 45 human medicine graduates * were able to enjoy their happy day on Friday while complying with all Covid measures. They received their decrees and made the Geneva Vow at the atmospheric academic celebration.
The dignitaries of Paracelsus University – led by Rector Wolfgang Sperl – as well as families and friends were delighted with the newly qualified doctors after an intensive five years. Five students graduated with honors. The Salzburg brass quartet framed the celebration. Dr. Sebastian Huber, second President of the State Parliament, spoke for the State of Salzburg. The Board of Trustees was represented by Gerlinde Rogatsch and Felix Sedlmayer.
Rector Sperl emphasized that the students have shown perseverance during certain times of the Covid 19 pandemic. His advice: “Don’t get caught up in the profiteering of medicine. Don’t be drifted, go forward!”
In the traditional alumni speech, Arwin Rezai thanked those responsible at the university, above all the course organization, for the young doctors, and found very personal words for his fellow students: “We always had someone to talk to, we always have each other motivated.” And Fidelis Stuchtey added: “We have made friendships that will go far beyond university. We have left footprints in the lives of others. Our job is a direct door to reality.” Being a doctor and getting there is a team sport.
The highlight was the awarding of the decrees with the final throwing of the doctoral hat.
