Nigerian midfielder Akinkunmi Amoo is happy to be named man of the match after another explosive performance for Hammarby in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Thursday.
The former Golden Eaglets star got a screamer to help his side to a 3-0 victory over IFK Gothenburg.
The midfielder who also assisted another goal in the game has now scored six goals for this season.
The Nigerian was replaced by a resounding ovation- twelve minutes before the end of 90 minutes; as Hammarby claimed its ninth victory in the campaign, to go up 33 points, just 5 points behind Malmö in third place in the race for European places.
Amoo reacted to her husband in the match performance and said:
“Man of the Match Award, I’m honored. This is valuable to me, I dedicate this to the team’s coaching staff, my teammates, the management and the whole club’s family. “He wrote on Twitter.
Amoo was deservedly named the man of the match and has now taken his determination to 9 in the league (6 goals, 3 assists), having just started 13 of the 19 matches he has played in.
