a call for witnesses in Avignon after the violent death of a homeless man
Investigators from the branch of the judicial police in Avignon (Vaucluse) launched this Thursday a call for witnesses in order to try to identify the person or persons responsible for the death of a homeless man. The body of the Polish victim was discovered this Saturday around 4 a.m. in the shopping area of Cristole in Avignon by employees of the Grand Frais store, reports
Provence.
The corpse lying at the foot of a wall in the food supermarket presented several head injuries in particular. An autopsy showed that the homeless man’s death was due to punches thrown in this area of the body. Doctors also determined that the death occurred the night before the body was found.
Report any suspicious behavior
Any potential witness is called upon to come forward if he or she notices one or more people appearing unexpectedly. The area concerned is the area around rue du Capitaine de Vaisseau Henri Bellet, near the Grand Frais store near the Auchan-Mistral 7 supermarket.
The population is asked to report any suspicious activity observed this Friday around 8:30 p.m. by calling the local judicial police on 04 32 40 57 55.
