A “big piece of Switzerland” in Stuttgart
In downtown Stuttgart, Switzerland Tourism opened the “Pop-up House of Switzerland” with around 100 guests.
For the first time, Switzerland is presenting itself with a “Pop-up House of Switzerland” in neighboring Germany. On July 2nd, the pop-up was officially opened.
We are delighted to be able to host a “large piece of Switzerland” in the middle of our state capital Stuttgart for the next four months with the “House of Switzerland”

Around 100 representatives from the local business, finance and tourism scene as well as prominent guests from Switzerland will attend the opening. Martin Nydegger, CEO of Switzerland Tourism, commented: “The project comes just in time for summer 2021, when we are looking forward to our guests from Germany again. Hopefully the pop-up house will give you the final motivation to plan a trip or vacation in Switzerland ”.

Designed as a roadshow, further stations in France, Italy and other countries are planned after the premiere in Stuttgart. The aim is to develop future-oriented perspectives and cross-border cooperation on common challenges. The project is being implemented by Presence Switzerland together with its partners Switzerland Tourism and Switzerland Global Enterprise. And in close cooperation with the Swiss Embassy in Berlin and the Swiss Consulate General in Stuttgart. More about it here.
Florian Hassler, State Secretary and representative of the state of Baden-Württemberg to the European Union, was also enthusiastic about the concept. “Switzerland and Baden-Württemberg have been friends for many years, and as a neighboring region, Switzerland is one of our most important trading partners. We are all the more pleased to be able to host a “large piece of Switzerland” in the middle of our state capital Stuttgart for the next four months with the “House of Switzerland”, ”said Hassler.
“So close, so ufgschtellt, so fine, so tame, so Switzerland” is the motto of the “Pop-up House of Switzerland”. The offer in Stuttgart will make you want to spend a holiday in the Alpine region on an interactive area until October 31 – including travel advice. A varied program is offered with workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, readings and much more on the topics of sustainability and innovation. Participation is possible on site and in some cases via livestream.
At the same time, an out-of-home campaign by Switzerland Tourism is also promoting Switzerland as an authentic summer holiday destination in the Alpine region and in the cities. (htr / npa)
