MET – Florence. Bibliopride 2021
Bibliopride 2021 is dedicated to “Libraries for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, an action program for people, the planet and prosperity signed in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member countries: 17 objectives to be achieved by 2030 as a challenge for a more environmentally, socially and economically sustainable future.
Libraries, in their way of operating, can include sustainability through the example and dissemination of principles and practices: separate collection, gender category, integration of socially excluded sectors, or even simply the attention placed on completely green buildings, are some examples that fall within the theory and practice of sustainability. The objectives that come closest to the range of action of libraries are those dedicated to quality education, the reduction of inequalities, access to information and the creation of a sustainable community.
The libraries have organized a program of meetings on these topics and offer some reading tips.

• promote beauty in all its forms: the pleasure of reading, the discovery of passions and interests related to art, literature and scientific dissemination, the new creation of quality free time to share
• create opportunities for participation and meeting for more participatory, inclusive and cohesive city communities
