The Independence Day of Bulgaria in Pleven will be celebrated with a solemn ritual and military principles on the historic square “Stefan Stambolov” with the participation of the head of the Pleven garrison, Brigadier General Julian Radoiski, municipal councilors, representatives of district and municipal administration, institutions, many citizens.
“You are beautiful, my forest” and “Where is Bulgaria” performed by the municipal choir “Gena Dimitrova” sounded.
We live in a complex and dynamic situation with covidity, finances, economic and political crisis, said in his speech the mayor Georg Spartanski in front of the border a plaque dedicated to Independence, the work of the Pleven sculptor Prof. Kiril Meskin.
“Policies at the national and local levels need to be humble in order to take into account that they are not unique and infallible in your decisions,” said the low-ranking mayor of Pleven. “Forget that everyone gives up a little of their owners and their owners from the obsession with adults and their sense of infallibility,” he said.
The festive ritual ended with the presentation of wreaths and flowers, a Bulgarian low anthem sounded. The many kept a minute of silence in memory of those who died for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria.
