From an idea of the Secretariat of State for Tourism was born “A voice for San Marino”, an international song festival that will guarantee the winner participation in the 2021 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is possible to register for the event, organized by Media Evolution srl and realized thanks to the partnership with San Marino RTV, an EBU affiliated television broadcaster and holder of the rights to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, starting today by filling in the documentation on the Festival website. until next January 10, 2022. “Emerging” and “big” music artists will compete for “Una voce per San Marino” without any limit of citizenship or language with which the chosen piece is interpreted. From 13 to 19 December and from 5 to 11 January 2022, an academy for “emerging” artists enrolled in the competition will be launched in San Marino, at the Titano Theater, which will also act as a preliminary casting while in February 2022 the competition for “emerging” artists it will end with the semifinals and the final which will decree the name of the 8 artists who, together with the big names selected (without any limit of nationality and language), will perform on February 19, 2022 in the final when a qualified jury will crown the winner. The initiative conceived by the Secretariat of State for Tourism with the participation of San Marino RTV wants to participate in EBU candidates which promotes the national choice of participants in the Eurovision Song Contest through competitions and internationals and, at the same time, takes on a valuable tourist and image with a sector for the sector guaranteed by the presence of emerging artists, big names, staff and professionals in the Republic for a rather long period. This morning, at the San Marino RTV studios, the Secretary of State for Tourism of San Marino Federico Pedini Amati, Vittorio Costa of Media Evolution and the project manager for San Marino RTV Alessandro Capicchioni intervened to present the project. “I strongly believe in the opportunities that this event can guarantee for our country. We are talking about image, positive messages and also about an important related business ”, said Federico Pedini Amati, Secretary of State for Tourism. “By now all the countries that own the Eurovision Song Contest qualify their artists on the basis of a Festival and we wanted to do the same – explained Pedini Amati – but opening the same to all the artists of the world without any limitation, nor to citizenship and nor of language, with an eye to the San Marino citizens to whom we will guarantee wild cards for the advanced stages.
