Versalift will open a company store in Sweden to distribute its vehicle-mounted elevators, together with Ruthmanns.
The reason for moving to a wholly owned subsidiary from an independent distributor network is a desire to get closer to its customers, the company says.
The new facility will be located in Falkenberg – between Gothenburg and Malmö – and will include offices, spare parts inventory and workshops and will open next month.
The new business will also handle Ruthmann’s German and Italian built truck-mounted elevators, along with Bluelift spindle lifts. Versalift has been selling these products through its dealers for several years, but since the Ruthmann business was acquired by Versalift’s parent company Time Manufacturing earlier this year, see: Time Versalift acquires Ruthmann, the group clearly revealed that the extra volume and product range made direct sales more motivated.
The company statement said: “We are well on our way to building our team, which will include a sales manager, a coordinator and a service technician. The Swedish team will work in close company with Versalift International’s headquarters in Farsoe, Denmark ”.
“In addition to a sales department, Versalift Sweden AB will have a service department with several service technicians located throughout Sweden, so that we can offer service for all products in our selection. This will of course also include older lifts purchased from our previous distributors. ”
