The Ambassador-designate of Italy in Vienna received in the Province
A first comparison on the relations, economic but not only, between Italy and Austria and those that are being built within the Gect “Euregio Tirolo – Alto Adige – Trentino” between the autonomous provinces of Trento, Bolzano and the Land Tyrol: they are These were the main issues addressed in the meeting that the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento had yesterday afternoon at the palace of the Province with Stefano Beltrame, Ambassador-designate of Italy in Vienna who will take office in the Austrian capital next October 1st. The agenda of the diplomat’s visit to Trento also includes meetings with personalities from research, culture and the economic-productive reality.
During the interview, the particular institutional structure of Trentino and its historical, cultural, social and economic ties with the German and Austrian world in particular were discussed. On these issues, possible further forms of institutional, economic and scientific-technological comparison and collaboration have also been hypothesized. It also reflected on the opportunities to strengthen tourism promotion action towards the Austrian and German market.
In the morning Beltrame participated in the Study Conference in memory of Enzo Perlot entitled “European integration: past, present and future”, organized by the University of Trento. He then met the councilor for economic development, research and work of the autonomous province of Trento and the manager for internationalization and economic relations, Raffaele Farella.
After the confrontation with the president of the Province, the diplomat was received by the rector of the University of Trento, Flavio Deflorian. Scheduled to follow is a visit to Povo, at FBK, and finally a meeting with some representatives of the business world.
