SPORTUNION becomes a “youth sports guarantee” for Austria
McDonald: “We have to ensure school and club sport for children and young people in the ongoing corona pandemic on a permanent basis.”
Vienna (OTS) – Due to the current pandemic situation, there are more and more stricter regulations in Austria. However, due to the vaccination and the existing experience – thanks to the corona prevention concepts and contact tracing – the corona crisis is in a new phase. Therefore, the SPORTUNION demands a “Youth sport guarantee“For the youngest generation to prevent further collateral damage. From the point of view of the umbrella organization, this requires practical adjustments to the ninja pass for the weekend and more information for faster vaccination progress. In addition, it is necessary to equate coaches and functions in the sports sector with those in the education system for corona tests. Children and teenagers should be allowed to play sports with friends in the club all week long, which is just as important for personal development as school.
“Unfortunately, the current pandemic developments are all the more important this time to secure certain areas with foresight. We are demanding a ‘youth sport guarantee’ from the federal government for the ongoing crisis. Austria’s children’s and youth sport in schools and clubs has to become more frequent, after the lack of exercise in the youngest generation has increased rapidly. Countries such as Die or Die Schweiz have already shown during the last corona lockdown that it is.
#sportunioncomeback: Member campaign for SPORTUNION clubs
Under the motto #sportunioncomeback, the umbrella association is promoting new memberships as part of the #comebackstronger campaign for sports bonuses (after more than half a million members left due to the pandemic). The Ministry of Sport presented a media campaign for the funding campaign. “The importance of popular sport in Austria must reach politics. Must die quickly now 57 # comebackstronger measures implemented, so we are announcing the ministry’s campaign. It is important that we get as many people as possible moving and remain active in the fight against the virus, with the aim of further improving the promotion of values and health. Under the slogan #sportunioncomeback we will actively support the initiative and our SPORTUNION clubs, ”emphasizes association boss McDonald, who is on the side sportunion.at/sportbonus refers to where potential neo-members can find out more about the campaign and the wide range of sports and clubs.
