From Monday to Tuesday, 1,240 new infections were reported across Austria within 24 hours. Tuesday brought the lowest number of new infections so far in September. However, 22 people died related to the coronavirus within 24 hours.
Occupancy in hospitals has continued to rise, while those in intensive care units have decreased. On Tuesday, 897 corona hospitalized people were reported, 58 more than on Monday. The number of intensive care patients is available by five people to 214. Last Tuesday, September 14th, there were 805 hospitalized and 200 intensive care patients.
