The style lessons to learn from Tiger of Sweden in the spring / summer of 2022
After earning his fashion shopping design under Christopher Bailey during his time at Burberry, Tiger of Sweden creative director Bryan Conway has just unveiled his spring / summer 2022 collection for the Scandinavian brand this weekend as part of London Fashion Week.
Conway remained true to the tiger’s minimal and extremely elegant aesthetics and presented a collection that is easy to wear and easy to wear. He chose voluminous silhouettes that allow the body to move freely and that are designed with technical performance wear in mind. Elsewhere, the 118-year-old label’s typically smart tailor-made and stylish separations – shirts, jeans and blouses – were cut from materials that made them adaptable to life in nature. Conway’s wool was made with weather-resistant Cordura and used over the fit, while the trousers came with zippers on each leg to provide easy access.
The collection also introduced the ALL Collection, Volume I, which is Tiger of Sweden’s new and permanent unisex line. This was kick-started with a single-button suit that was adapted for everyone, which was cut from deliberately made fabrics and made with durable color techniques and trim. In the future, Conway has promised a unisex duffel coat, biker jacket, classic white shirt and knitted sweater with a round neck.
Below are four style lessons you can learn from the collection and incorporate into your own wardrobe right now …
Transfer your scarf
It’s not just about looking like you’re a member of the Scouts anymore – your scarf should be oversized and overcharged. See how fans of the bound scarf Tyler, The Creator and A $ AP Rocky get into action.
The shorts are getting shorter
Short shorts are nothing new on the catwalk, with all the brands from Stefan Cooke and Ahluwalia to Gucci driving after them. At Tiger of Sweden, we have been served perhaps the shortest yet, with seams that fall somewhere between three and five inches, which will delight TikTok’s Gen-Z users.
A blazer is your best friend
A jacket has long been an essential item in our closets here GQ, held at arm’s length and ready to throw on at any time. Do as they do at Tiger of Sweden and pair yours with denim.
Invest in some clumsy loafers
Chunky loafers have made the rounds in the menswear collections, brands such as Prada and Versace have released their own versions. Tiger of Sweden’s are simple in design, but impressively bold thanks to their oversized construction. Like it.
