Radio listeners in Austria can look forward to another radio station via DAB + digital radio. The private broadcaster Radio Austria can now be received via DAB + in addition to FM, cable and Internet, announced the ORS Group on September 20.
In the future, around 600,000 listeners will be waiting for the new member of the successful Austrian digital radio family, who will rely on interference-free and noise-free digital listening pleasure every month. It is the 16th digital radio program that was switched on to the nationwide DAB + multiplex of the ORS.
The popular morning show “Good Morning Austria” with Alex Nausner and the morning team reliably wakes the Austrian up every day. With the best music, Radio Austria accompanies you through the day with program director and presenter Vina Aquarina.
The music of the last decades is played from the classic hits from the 80s to the top hits of today and every hour a hit from Austria. Radio Austria offers news services and provides information with hourly world news, current breaking news and the very latest traffic service for Austria.
ORS ensures national coverage for around 600,000 listeners
With this extensive range of information and entertainment from Radio Austria, the entire DAB + family offers a variety like never before. In June 2021, the Digitalradio Austria association could representatively vote that around 600,000 listeners per month DAB + for their radio enjoyment are currently extrapolated. In addition, around 20% of Austrians already have at least one DAB + enabled radio.
As a domestic service provider, ORS enables radio customers to have perfect DAB + broadcasting. To this end, ORS operates the nationwide multiplex platform for digital terrestrial radio.
