Newsticker Corona: Austria Annex “3G” rule for cable car use | 09/20/21
The following are current developments relating to the virus pandemic:
11.15 a.m. – In Austria, the “3G” rule will apply to the use of cable cars in the coming winter season. This should be checked at the ticket counter, said Tourism Minister Elisabeth Köstinger (ÖVP). You also have to wear an FFP2 mask in gondolas. There should be no capacity restrictions like last winter and the distance regulation WILL be waived. Apres-ski will also be possible under more stringent conditions, similar to those for night gastronomy. “Anyone who wants to enjoy a safe, carefree winter holiday in Austria should definitely get vaccinated,” said Köstinger.
04.13 a.m. – The Robert Koch Institute reports 3736 new positive tests. That is 1775 fewer than on Monday a week ago, when 5511 new infections were reported. The seven-day incidence increases slightly to 71.0 from 70.5 the previous day. The value is how many people per 100,000 inhabitants were infected with the coronavirus in the last seven days. 13 other people died related to the virus. This increases the number of registered people to 92,971 within 24 hours. In total, 4.14 million corona tests have so far been positive in Germany.
