BODIES OF THE BODY
This is one of the most successful exhibitions presented in the world. The exhibits debuted in Tokyo in 1995, attracting more than 50 young athletes to more than 140 cities, in America, Africa, Asia and Europe.
He is the spiritual child of Gunther von Hagens, a German physician, famous for his pioneering work in the preservation of the body, as well as his videotaped autopsies.
When appearing in public, Gunther von Hagens always wears a black republican – a reference to the hat he feared in Rembrandt’s 1632 painting, Dr. Nicolas Tulp’s Anatomy Lesson.
Gunther von Hagens, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, has revealed that he wants his body to be plasticized and added to the exposure when he dies.
He used part of this great exhibition for the shooting of the film James Bond Casino Royal starring him Daniel Craig
