Deputy Prime Minister: Belarus has spent over 1.3 billion rubles on the fight against coronavirus
September 20, 2021
Belarus has allocated more than $ 760 million to the fight against coronavirus in 2021, and the total costs exceeded $ 1.3 billion.
Such numbers on the air ONT voiced by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko.
“You know that we spent about 562 million to eliminate the consequences of these consequences last year alone – money that was unplanned. For the current 8 months, we have exceeded this figure by 200 million, ”he said.
This amount includes funds for additional payments to doctors. Petrishenko explained that this year the order of payments was adjusted taking into account the fact that measures have already been taken.
“We made a certain adjustment taking into account the law enforcement practice, taking into account the fact that we have implemented protective functions. This means personal protective equipment, medical and nursing staff are fully provided. Questions, again, vaccination – this is also the protection of the medical staff. Therefore, there must be rational spending of budgetary funds. Most importantly, the principle of justice. Those who work in the “red zone” with covid patients – they keep these allowances taking into account the hours worked. These are all infectious diseases departments, re-profiled departments where patients with covid, resuscitation specialists, anesthesiologists are located, these are all those categories for which all allowances remain. Respectively, and others – depending on the amount of time worked. That is, only specifically for professional risk, ”he said.
