Belarus supports the creation of an international digital coalition “Partnership for Connectivity”
September 20, Minsk / Corr. BELTA /. Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus Konstantin Shulgan today took part in the meeting of the digital coalition “Partnership to Connect” (Partner2Connect), which was held as a side event of the 76th session of the commission session, reported by the UN BelTA to the press service of the ministry.
The meeting announced the launch of the Digital Coalition Partnership to Connect (Partner2Connect). It was created to implement projects in various countries of the world with the aim of developing telecommunications infrastructure and digital transformation.
Konstantin Shulgan noted that the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus fully supports the idea of creating a digital coalition “Partnership for Connection” for the implementation of joint projects aimed at further developing telecommunications infrastructure, digital services, creating ecosystems, and stimulating investments in all countries of the world.
The Minister presented information on digitalization and the development of promising modern technologies in the country of the system of state programs, taking into account the requirements of the UN development, the international telecommunication community and international best practices. In particular, he noted that the republic is implementing the program “Digital Development of the State for 2021-2025”, aimed at introducing modern information and communication and advanced production technologies in various sectors of the national economy and the sphere of life of society.
Konstantin Shulgan expressed confidence that in the future cooperation with the International Union, telecommunications and other UN agencies will deepen and expand. -0-
