Austria requires a 3G certificate when skiing
There will be winter tourism in Austria every autumn, said Köstinger when presenting the corona protective measures for the coming ski season. The infection process will be decisive.
For example, a three-step model provides for tightening up for the autumn, so that 15 or 20 percent of the total Austrian capacities are exceeded when the intensive care beds are occupied.
3G and FFP2 masks in cable cars
In general, the so-called 3G rule applies to hotels, restaurants and cable cars – including proof of having been vaccinated, recovered or tested. In addition, FFP2 masks are to be worn in closed cable car gondolas.
Après ski under strict conditions
There will no longer be a restriction on the number of people using the cable cars – this only led to long queues at the valley stations in the past season. The tourism minister emphasized that après ski will definitely be available under “strict” rules.
With higher intensive occupancy there is a risk of 2G
If there should be an increase in intensive care bed occupancy, only those who have been vaccinated or recovered could have access, i.e. the minister.
Tourism Minister Köstinger and Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein from the Greens Vaccinated emphasized that there are as far as possible no restrictions. The success of the winter season depends on vaccination.
