Why Monocle fell in love with Athens – In the magazine “K” this Sunday with “Kathimerini”

But the conference organizers decided that maybe they should not do it in a city where everything works so well. They have chosen a sunny city, a city that is flourishing, although it still has a lot to fix, a city that plays an important role in the wider region in which it is located – in the Eastern Mediterranean and within the European Union – in a position that gives them the opportunity to The theme of the conference is not only the city itself, but also the issues of the region. For the annual “Quality of Life” conference of Monocle magazine, which you will receive from September 23 to 25, the organizers chose Athens.
Tyler Bruele, director and founder of Monocle, believes that Athens is currently going through its moment. “There is an energy, you feel it, we see something happening in Athens”, he says to “K”. “Many are now realizing the role of Athens, a city in Eastern Europe and within the European Union, and what it means to be in Athens at the base of a business,” Mr Brule said. Of course, this does not mean that there is no room for improvement – not only in the city, but also in the country.
