NATO Military Commission in Athens: Threats and Challenges to the Alliance

Asked about developments after the AUKUS agreement between the USA, Great Britain and Australia, Admiral Bauer expressed the belief that “It does not directly affect NATO” and explained:
“Australia is not a member of NATO. There are many agreements between member states and other countries that have a political influence on NATO. In the military, however, they do not influence it. “There may be no complications or consequences, but I do not see a direct impact on NATO cohesion.”
