Anti-health pass mobilization in decline in Avignon for this 10th Saturday of the event

Anti sanitary pass protesters gathered once again in Place de l’Horloge for this 10th Saturday of mobilization. The procession left around 2:30 p.m., taking the streets of the city center where the merchant clearance took place. “It’s not very cool for us. Trade hasn’t been to its advantage for a number of years.” laments Valentin, a jeweler from Avignon. He adds “If today we can be free it is precisely because we have a vaccine so I do not understand where these people are coming from.”

The procession was half the size of last week with around 1,250 people depending on the prefecture. They stopped under the Daladier Bridge chanting the usual slogan: “Freedom !” Return to the starting point via the rue de la République around 4.30 p.m., stopping to dance in front of the police who supervise the mobilization.
