1,902 new corona infections and 211 intensive care patients in Austria
At that time there were 860 people in the hospital, 17 more than yesterday. 211 people were cared for in intensive care units. That number has increased by nine and within a week yesterday by 33 patients. Seven other deaths have been reported.
As of Saturday there were 23,453 active corona cases in Austria, 204 more than the day before. There have already been 722,357 confirmed cases in Austria since the start of the pandemic. 688,015 people have recovered since the outbreak of the epidemic, and 1,691 are considered healthy again within the past 24 hours.
52 deaths have been recorded in the past seven days. In total, the Covid 19 pandemic has claimed 10,889 deaths in Austria since the outbreak. Per 100,000 inhabitants, 121.9 people have died from or with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The federal state with the most newly registered infections is Vienna with 420, Upper Austria (+47) and Salzburg (+115).
The seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, fell slightly nationwide to 159.4 on Saturday.
63.3 percent vaccinated
19,932 vaccinations were carried out on Friday. According to the data in the e-vaccination pass, a total of 5,654,440 people in the country received at least one partial vaccination: that is 63.3 percent of the population. 5,340,883 people and thus 59.8 percent of Austrians are fully immunized.
The highest vaccination rate (fully immunized) is in Burgenland with 67.4 percent, according to figures from Friday, Upper Austria brings up the rear with 55.1 percent. The federal state with the highest seven-day incidence is currently Vienna with 207, liquid from Upper Austria, Salzburg and Lower Austria (2021, 169.2 and 155, respectively).
