Traffic regulations on the Suburban Railway and a ban on all outdoor public gatherings are in force in Athens today due to the Summit of the member states of the law of the European Union (EUMED9).

More specifically, by decisions of the Director of the Athens Police Directorate, it is prohibited to carry out any outdoor public assistance, from 06:00 to 24:00 on Friday, September 17, 2021 in the following areas:

A. In the area enclosed by the streets – avenues: Amalias Avenue & Vas. Olgas Avenue – Vas. Olgas Avenue – left Vas. Konstantinou Avenue – right Spyros Mercouri – left Michalakopoulou (until its contribution with Hatzigianni Mexi) – left Hatzigianni Mexi – left Vas. Sofias Avenue – right Sekeri – Solonos – left Lycabettus – America – Kolokotroni – left Parliament – right Admiral Nikodimou – Flessa – left Tripodon – Lysikratous – Pyli.

The above ban is imposed as it poses a serious risk to public safety and its professionalization. Our country to participate in it, taking into account the announced gathering for 17/09/2021 at 19:00 in Syntagma Square against the aforementioned conference by various bodies / organizations.

Β. In the area enclosed by the streets – avenues: L. Syggrou (at the height of L. Amfitheas & L. Katsoni) – L. Katsoni – Epamineonda – L. Poseidonos (current to Glyfada) – L. Apollonos – Ihous – L. Amfitheas ( up to the height of L. Syggrou).

The above ban is imposed as it poses a serious risk to public safety and the promised serious order of socio-economic life in the area, in view of the holding at the Cultural Center “Stavros Niarchos Foundation” of the EuroMed 9 summit and the planned participation in this offer.

At the same time, emergency traffic regulations have been discovered on the Athens Suburban Railway.

According to TRAINOSE, due to the arrival of high-ranking politicians at the Airport, and following orders from the Greek Police, emergency traffic regulations are being implemented on the Suburban Railway.

Especially for the period:

• 16.09.2021 and hours 12.00–12.30, 18.45–19.15,
• 17.09.2021 and hours 10.45–11.15, 12.10–13.15, 14.00–14.30, 15.40–16.10, 18.10–19.45, 22.45–23.15, 23.35–00.05,
• 18.09.2021 and hours 09.45–10.15, 15.45–16.15,

the following trains will finish / start at Koropi instead of the Airport, by date:

• 16.09 .: 2222, 1215, 1228, 2255, 2250, 1229
• 17.09 .: 1212, 2223, 2218, 1213, 2222, 1215, 1216, 2231, 2226, 1217, 2230, 1219, 1222, 2243, 2238, 1223, 1228, 2255, 2250, 1229, 1230, 2259, 1236, 1237
• 18.09 .: 1222, 2243, 2238, 1223, 1226, 2251

In the meantime, according to the latest information from STASY, all the routes of Metro Line 3, to and from the Airport, will normally take place today, throughout the day and only between the hours of 15: 30-16:00 there will be no services.
