Great double Lyon in Scotland – All results
Lyon continued its very good tradition in the Europa League in “Ibrox”. With the 2-0 against Rangers, the “Lions” completed 19 matches with only one defeat in the groups of the tournament, while in the last 10 away matches they have 5 wins and 4 draws.
For champions Scotland tonight was the first defeat after 10 matches in the Europa League groups and just the 5th in the last 28 games it has given in all competitions.
Eindhoven and Real Sociedad were tied, 2-2, in their first market match, with the hosts being promoted and the Basques responding immediately with two goals. Finally, PSV equalized in the second half, in its 12th draw in 33 matches against Spanish teams.
The first commercial match between Leicester and Napoli did not show a winner (2-2) at the “King Power”. The draw, however, leaves the Italians satisfied, as for about 70 minutes they were behind the score with 2-0, however, with Osimien they managed to “save the game”.
Napoli, for its part, continued the tradition that it wants to not be able to do on English soil, where in 10 matches it has 4 draws and 6 defeats. Costas Manolas was on the bench of the “partenopei”.
As in 2007/2008 in the group stage of the UEFA Cup, so tonight, Eintracht Frankfurt and Fenerbahce drew 1-1 (then the match ended 2-2 in Istanbul). Fener remained undefeated on German soil (one win, one draw), while Eidracht counts one win and two draws at home against the Turks.
The fatal player of the guests was Dimitris Pelkas, who passed a substitution in the 76th minute instead of Ozil and in the 90th minute he failed to score the penalty he executed (repulsed by Kevin Trapp).
