What are the best chicken wings in Prague? We have a really hot winner!

Sugar Mizzy September 15, 2021

You can prepare chicken in thousands of ways. You can make it a full lunch, dinner, but you can also just have it in front of the TV or when he’s chasing the sweetheart. Crispy wings, juicy legs or strips in an amazing batter. Everyone loves such delicacies.

We decided to reach for the immortal classics, the wings that have been flying for taste buds for years. Their most typical and famous arrangement is the fried Buffalo wings, which began to be prepared as early as 1964. They were allegedly invented by Teressa Bellissimo, the owner of the Anchor bar. It has become so popular in Buffalo that July 29 has been declared Chicken Wings Day, and the National Buffalo Wing Festival has been held here since 2002.

But now we can close the window on history and continue what is most important in today’s article – find out where they do wings in Prague. Over Wolt we ordered from five restaurants and chose the best one.

5. Faucet

Restaurant Kohoutek offers a wide range of delicacies from Italian taps, you can buy it there, for example, whole, specially loaded and adapted to the Czech way. The wings themselves, which we reached for, offer as an appetizer, but when you add six pieces of meat with potato chips like us, you eat to your heart’s content.

The food arrived just in time, beautifully warm and packed in a neat box. The pieces of meat were decorated with finely chopped herbs and a sauce that conjured up a real concert in our mouths. In a moment, the juicy piece of the wing guided us through all the flavors that blend smoothly and pleasantly.

This was caused by the sauce, which covered the individual pieces of meat together with the batter.

Price: 139 CZK

4. Winghaus

From the restaurant Winghaus we ordered a Classic Combo, which pleasantly surprised us that we could also choose the level of hotness. We stayed in the middle because even though some of us support hot food, others prefer to stick to the wall.

We received eight small pieces of ailerons in two variants. Both of them were decorated with sesame seeds. We enjoyed the combination with vegetables and fries, which were included in the price as well as the sauce, which of course made us happy.

We enjoyed the food, how well the pieces of meat ate. Both flavors of our choice were slightly sweet, the dough soft and the meat nicely juicy. In combination with carrots, celery and french fries, we really enjoyed the food.

Price: 189 CZK

3. Chicko chicken

With the order Chicko chicken the courier knocked on us just before we were waiting for him, which made us happy. We were even better when we found out that the meat was beautifully hot. Even after opening the lid, the smoked smell of BBQ sauce, in which the wings floated, tore us apart. It was immediately clear to us that we would get dirty while eating, but it was worth the taste.

If you are a fan of BBQ tastes, these wings will be something for you. Even though she did not achieve victory in our country, we really liked the juicy meat and the lasting taste of summer barbecues.

Price: 199 CZK

2. Chicken

Chicken got us before the test. This is the meat of chickens from a free-range farm, which is always the better option. If you order from the restaurant, you will receive food in a box of recycled paper and recycled napkins. When you open the box, the smell of classic fried Kentucky chicken spreads across the room.

It differed from previous dishes in its crunchiness. The batter here should not be soft and supple, but golden fried and addictively crunchy. This underlined the juiciness of the chicken, which differed from the others due to its free range origin. You will also come to the slightly hot meat with two sauces of your choice as a nice bonus.

Price: 185 CZK

1. Wingz

Despite the fact that our opinions on hot food differ a bit, the spicy wings from Wingz, which arrived in an inconspicuous box, from which the gates of hell could already be smelled. You know it for sure. You get a portion on a plate and it is immediately clear to you that this will burn. The smell of chili, hot peppers and garlic pulled us by the noses and all the saliva we have ran together and our eyes flooded with tears.

But the real challenge was still waiting for us, at the moment when we bit into the juicy meat in hell’s batter. But right after the first bite, the meat pleasantly surprised us. It was definitely not a food that you didn’t smell like burning. We could clearly see how well flavored the chicken was, we enjoyed the spices, the taste of the meat itself and the spiciness of the batter drove it a few levels higher. It is therefore clear that the Wingz wings are the best of all involved.

Price: 199 CZK

I hope you are already really hungry and you will also order something good. It doesn’t matter if you also have wings or reach for a burger or pizza, especially if you enjoy your meal ideally with the people you love.
