Done! The primary school in Prague’s Žižkov eventually succumbed to the covid and is closing
On Tuesday at noon, the school principal Václav Havelka works at website. “Based on the evaluation of the epidemiological situation, the Hygiene Station of the Capital City of Prague announced the closure of the Chmelnice Primary School,” Havelka wrote, adding that more than a third of the pupils are already in quarantine.
“We decided on the basis of the fact that from September 1 to September 10, 2021, an epidemiological investigation revealed the occurrence of 44 cases of coronavirus infectious disease and quarantine was ordered in more than 30 percent of students and teachers. We also took into account the route of transmission of the infection, “described Vladimíra Jansová from the Prague hygiene stations. In addition to the sick and isolated children, there are 13 teachers who are not available at the school.
The school will close on Wednesday 15 September and last until 24 September. “There may also be a shift of a few days if the PCR test of September 13 and 14 still shows the presence of a positive student at school,” the principal told his parents. The school thus switches to distance learning, children who do not have a quarantine are allowed to move freely.
“Although we have to keep the school going, the spread of the virus has been stronger. Other classes were quarantined on Tuesday morning, pupils with a positive PCR test are added every hour, and other teachers drop out, ”Havelka explained. Local class quarantines can now routinely spread covid-19, and many siblings attend classes, so the spread of the disease brought by children from home cannot be returned.
