The Corona traffic light is switched to orange as a whole for Austria: This means that there is a “high risk”, as can be seen from the working document of the traffic light commission. In individual federal states there is still talk of “medium risk”: Carinthia, Lower Austria, Tyrol and Styria are yellow, all other federal states orange. This week Burgenland moved into the orange area.
As far as the risk-adjusted 7-day incidence is concerned, Salzburg currently has the worst value with around 188. The systemic risk in the intensive care units is the worst in Vienna with a forecast of 22 percent occupancy.
The current almost 14 percent in the federal capital is also the highest. The district with the highest (risk-adjusted) incidence is currently Braunau am Inn (360). Gmünd in Lower Austria has the lowest.
Only Vorarlberg is still stable
The trend in infection numbers is rapidly increasing across the country. Only in Vorarlberg is considered stable. The number of tests remains low almost everywhere. The highest value measured per 100,000 inhabitants have Salzburg with just over and Vienna with just under 40,000, in Tyrol it is not even 13,000 as an outlier. According to the commission, 34 percent of all infections found were asymptomatic.
