Prague overtook Vienna and London. According to the ranking, it has the best parks in the world
Prague’s parks are the best in the world, showing a ranking that compares the world’s capital and the level of their green spaces, where locals go to spend their free time. The Czech capital has left behind metropolises such as New York with its famous Central Park or London, Vienna and Moscow.
ABC Flora Server as part of their survey, he evaluated several values, including reviews of users and traffic in the parks. This subsequently resulted in a ten-point scale, which causes the final ranking of cities.
Prague, which stands at the top, will get a full ten points. According to the data published by the server, the Czech capital benefited from a relatively small population. So at least compared to other cities. This number had only a direct effect, for example, on the occupancy of individual parks, which also had a positive effect on the final score.
According to TripAdvisor data, there are forty parks in Prague that are normally open to the public. The most famous include Stromovka, Letná, Havlíčkovy or Riegrovy sady. Compared to others, it is an above-average number in relation to population and area. Thanks to this, Prague has the third quietest parks in the world.
The Welsh capital Cardiff has become a city with no busy parks at all. It is also not necessarily a populated city in the rankings, which undoubtedly affected the rating.
In one Prague to overcome Moscow
The survey also assessed the quality of individual parks. In this case, a maximum of 5 points on the scale. Prague was at risk at 4.59 points and was second in the world. It was surpassed specifically by Moscow, which received an average score of 4.67 points.
“Because (Prague) is known for its classical architecture, it seems that the natural side of the city should not be neglected either,” the server wrote about the results.
Despite the fact that Moscow will get a better average result for individual parks, the influence of a higher number of visitors was impressed here as well, so they gained only 9.95 points out of 10 on the final scale.
London finished third in each ranking with 9.26 points. At the other end of the scale, at the same time with the worst results, Lima, the capital of Peru, ended up paying for its overcrowding. This overshadowed the otherwise good reviews of visitors. Cape Town finished second and Athens third.
At the same time, all the mentioned cities are included in the ranking of the busiest natural areas in the world. It is Lima that holds the first position in this case. It is then run by Rio de Janeiro and Bangkok.
To give you an idea, for example, in Lima, there are half a million inhabitants per park. It is more than 400 thousand more people than in the case of parks in Prague.
