Electric car share in Scandinavia – So far behind us they are on electric cars

(Elbil24): August was another jubilee month for the electric car market, with a registration share of as much as 72 percent. For the first time in history, electric cars accounted for more than 50 percent of all new car registrations – in all parts of the country.
This is so far the best month for electric cars of all time, and the proportion is also completely unique in a global context. Of course, this could turn out to be everywhere, and Tesla boss himself, Elon Musk, has also commented on events on Twitter:

But what about our Nordic neighbors? The fact is that both Sweden and Denmark also set new electric car records in August. Sweden is the best country, where the authorities introduced major tax cuts for electric cars in April.
The share of all-electric in August was 24.1 percent. Thus, the electric car has ruined to become the most popular driveline also in our neighboring country, followed by plug-in hybrid with 22.9 percent.
However, the top list looks a little different in Norway and Sweden:

Tesla and others on the top list in this country, have prioritized Norway – something that will naturally affect the top list, but it is perhaps a little surprising on the Swedes’ “own” electric cars Volvo XC40 P8 Recharge and Polestar 2 shines with its absence.

Record also in Denmark

Volkswagen ID.4 was the most popular all-electric car in Denmark, with 414 new registrations, according to De Danske Bilimportører. In second place followed ID.3 from the same carmaker (400 copies), completing the Audi Q4 e-tron (320), Ford Mustang Mach-E (254) and Tesla Model Y (217).
