The alarm sounded shortly after 12:00 at the fire station for fire in a building in the center of Athens. For unknown reasons, the first floor of an apartment building at the junction of Kapodistriou and 3rd of September streets was set on fire.
Special ladders of the fire brigade freed people from the floors of the apartment building. As seen in the photos a man is on the fifth floor.
The building is located near the Ministry of Health and houses offices. According to information, on the first floor where the fire broke out, are the offices of an insurance company.
