When is the beginning of the school year 2021/2022?

Elementary and high school students will return to the benches on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Public holidays in autumn and autumn holidays

Autumn public holidays in 2021 are all published on weekdays:

  • 28th of September or the Czech Statehood Day falls on a Tuesday
  • 28th October or the Day of the Establishment of Independent Czechoslovakia falls on a Thursday and is wrapped autumn holidays, which are October 27 and 30
  • 17th November or the Day of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy falls on Wednesday

Christmas holidays from Thursday, December 23

Christmas holidays they begin on Thursday, December 23, 2021, and end on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Christmas Day comes on Friday, the first Christmas holiday on Saturday and the second Christmas holiday on Sunday.

The half-year holidays are January 29, 2022

The half-yearly report card will be handed over to pupils and students on Monday, January 31, 2022 and half-year holidays will be against Friday, February 4, 2022.

When will the spring break be?

The dates of the spring holidays range from February 7 to March 20 and are divided into districts. It does not matter in which district the pupil lives, but in which district the district school is located.

Spring public holidays in the school year 2021/2022

Unfortunately, the two May holidays in 2022 are coming out on weekends, because both Labor Day (May 1) and Victory Day (May 8) are on Sundays.

Easter in the school year 2021/2022

Easter holidays begin on April 14. So the Easter holidays will be from Thursday, April 14, 2022 to Monday, April 18, 2022. So prepare a pomlázka or a trip.
