He denies the facts and will be tried in October
The facts date back to August 25. That day, as reported by our colleagues from Provence, a 66-year-old lady, located in the Saint-Véran cemetery in Avignon (Vaucluse), was sexually assaulted by the suspect.
He threatens the sexagenarian with a knife
As the 60-year-old crossed the cemetery, the individual appeared from an alley threatening her with a bladed weapon, obviously a kitchen knife. Still according to our colleagues, under threat, he would have made the lady show him his chest before stroking it. The young man would also have touched her sex through his clothes.
The sixty-year-old who started screaming ended up scaring off the aggressor. The latter, however, did not flee very far, who was able to be arrested within the walls of the cemetery.
According to our colleagues from Dauphiné Liberated, the accused is already the subject of a complaint filed against him for violence with a weapon in the context of another case.
