In summer, people are drawn not only to holidays by the sea, but also to the vacation in Austria.

The high mountains, the crystal clear lakes – there are enough beautiful places to visit in the vacation in Austria can surprise you.

But anyone who is traveling by car in Austria should pay close attention to the speed – otherwise it will quickly become really expensive.

Holidays in Austria: Fines increased dramatically!

Anyone who has ever been flashed in other European countries knows that the fines in Germany were relatively low. But it can get really expensive for speeders in Austria now. Because the popular holiday destination has changed altitude!

As announced by the ADAC, the fines in Germany’s neighboring country Nahe are doubling. And: The same fines are not levied everywhere. This is due to the fact that there is no uniform catalog of fines in Austria, but the penalty is at the discretion of the respective authority.

But what does that mean in concrete terms?

Well: Anyone who drives quickly in Austria in the future must expect a significantly higher range of penalties, which the authorities can exhaust.

For example, anyone who is caught on the speedometer at more than 30 kilometers per hour in or out of town in the future will pay fines between 150 and 5000 (!) Euros. Up until now, the usual range was between 70 and 2180 euros.

Anyone who has more than 40 km / h in town and more than 50 km / h outside town will have to pay at least 300 euros in the future (here, too, the maximum has been raised to 5000 euros). There is also a one-month driving ban!

Anyone who pushes the tube again harder and is even 80 km / h in town or 90 km / h too fast threatens an additional fine with a six-month driving ban in Austria.

Vacation in Austria: Even small violations are expensive

Even minor violations of the road traffic regulations can be expensive in Austria. If you park incorrectly, you can quickly have to pay 90 euros on the spot for a so-called organ mandate. If the automatic traffic monitoring system detects a violation, fines of up to 365 euros can be imposed. However, this can also be punished by a so-called anonymous decision. The owner simply has the option of paying the fine. The driver remains anonymous, he does not have to be identified.

A few facts about Austria:

  • is a country in Central Europe and a member of the EU
  • the capital is Vienna, payments are made in euros
  • Founded in 976 No. Chr. As Margraviate Ostarrichi
  • the national anthem is called “Federal Anthem of the Republic of Austria”, also known as “Land der Berge, Land am Strome”
  • eight buildings or landscapes are part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage

——————————————

No objection can be lodged against anonymous orders and mandates from organs;

Also important: Anyone who believes that they live in Germany or is already back in Germany to escape the fine is wrong. There is an agreement for the enforcement of fines between Germany and the Alpine Republic. That means: German authorities collect fines for the Austrians from a height of 25 euros. It is also better to always follow the traffic rules. In Austria, but of course also in Germany! (evo)
