Amsterdam participates in a simple clean-up campaign
A clean neighborhood, who doesn’t want that? During the simple clean-up World Cleanup Day on Saturday 18 September people will take to the streets in 180 countries to clean up litter. In this way we make the earth a little cleaner together. Amsterdam is also participating. A clean neighborhood is a beautiful neighborhood. And cleaning up the neighborhood together creates a bond. Garbage grabs and rings for garbage bags are ready. Join in and sign up.

Litter attracts dirt
Litter is a thorn in the side of many Amsterdammers. And it attracts other dirt. description you know the neighborhood is dingy and dirty. Sometimes we have to roll up our sleeves together to completely clean the neighborhood and clear up the litter. This strengthens the mutual bond between neighbors.
Borrow grabs and rings
Grabs and rings can be borrowed from the municipality. You clamp your own bag in the ring. Requests up to and including Sunday 5 September at [email protected]. Be quick, it’s gone.
Watch out because of corona
Always keep 1,5 meters away and crowds. Follow the corona guidelines of the RIVM.
Cleaning Heroes
On Wednesday 15 September, primary schools can participate in the World Cleanup Day. They receive packages with grippers and rings for the children, a program of 2 weeks and lesson packages in preparation. Participants receive a present and a cleaning hero diploma.
