Fashion Week in Copenhagen: – Here the «Young Royals» star goes to his first fashion show
Tto stormy applause, Nikita Uggla enters the catwalk during Ganni’s fashion show during the Danish fashion week.
Almost overnight, the Swedish 20-year-old has become a name on everyone’s lips. She plays the role of Felice in the Netflix hit «Young Royals» which by the way is her acting debut. This includes 146,000 followers on Instagram.
The series, which has just been confirmed for another season, is described as a mix of «The Crown» and «Shame», and is about the Prince of Sweden, spilled by Edvin Ryding, who must have some tough choices in the clinch between love , duty and facade.
Autumn fashion: 17 trends for this season!
To Vogue Scandinavia tells Uggla that she was very nervous before the catwalk debut.
– I do not remember what happened, just that I went and went and then got off. I think I played. Channeled a supermodel like Kendall Jenner, or something, she says.

– Modern and brave
Ganni’s creative director, Ditte Reffstrup, tells the fashion magazine that she discovered the series more or less by chance during the summer holidays, when she needed something to look at during a flight.
– I fell so in love with all the actors. It was very modern and very brave.
It must have been the friendship between the characters Felice and Sara, spilled by Frida Argento, who appealed to Reffstrup.
– Friendships between women are very important to me. My female friends are like another family to me. Those friendships are the ones you lean on no matter what happens.
These two colors will be the hottest of the year!
Norwegian shooting star
Another who impressed during the Danish fashion week was Norwegian Ceval Omar.
The Norwegian-Somali model wrote the story when she was the first black plus-size transmodel in Vogue last year. Since then, she has taken the fashion world by storm. She has been featured on the cover of several of the world’s leading fashion magazines, featured in major fashion campaigns and walked the catwalk for international designers and brands.
This is how they will put Norwegian fashion on the world map
During the fashion week in Copenhagen, she was seen on the catwalk for, among others, Stine Goya, Rotate, (di) vision and Norwegian Holzweiler.
Finally, diversity seems to be the rule rather than the exception on the catwalk.
It should just be missing, you might be thinking. But the fact is that the fashion world has long been more or less hermetically sealed.
Now the Norwegian fashion profile is opening its first store
However, the focus on diversity and inclusion as part of the democratization of the fashion industry has opened it all up, and although the road ahead continues, we are at least on the right track.
For both designers and fashion brands like Gestuz, Holzweiler, Stine Goya, Baum und Pferdgarten, Designers Remix, Ganni and Rotate all had diversity among models. And best of all: it was neither assumed nor spasmodic, but completely natural.
Just the way it should be.
