Prague will join the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU, offer conference facilities and advertising space – EURACTIV.cz
The capital will join the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It will participate in the organization of events of the official program of the presidency, will also cooperate in the government’s communication campaigns and will also participate in the provision of online campaigns and additional educational and cultural activities. Fill it out from a document approved by Prague councilors today. The presidency awaits the Czech Republic from July to December 2022.
Prague can provide, for example, conference facilities, where, for example, the Ministry of Culture has expressed interest in facilities for 150 to 200 people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in turn, is requesting space for participants in journalism trips. Other ministries are also interested in representative premises. The events would be attended by representatives of the capital, where, according to the document, a toast with the mayor or a meeting with the city management is possible.
The city also offers advertising space and promotional items or provides support to the government in communicating with the transport company (DPP), where, for example, preferential travel would be offered, the company ensured the strengthening of connections or foreign language reporting.
The presidency will include accompanying educational and cultural events aimed at involving and informing students and the general public about the presidency. The capital would also be involved in these activities. One of the presented activities is, for example, discussions of politicians at primary and secondary schools, which would be organized in cooperation with Eurocentre Prague.
“The capital city of Prague will also have the opportunity to actively participate in the opening of the Europe Experience exhibition organized by the Office of the European Parliament in the Czech Republic,” the document says. These activities will be complemented by cultural events.
