Prague: Čapadlo u Vltavy invites you to sit, prams are accessible
Formerly a negligible place used as a warehouse or parking lot, now a space where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Prague Castle, beer or alcohol-free refreshment, as well as musical evenings in the garden in the shade of trees. This is a tent, ie a former place for capturing rafts from the Vltava waves.
Stay under the Hollar Gallery on Smetana’s Embankment, its operator for this season is Michal Řepka, known in the music world as DJ Mike Trafik (41). “We would like to include Monday yoga, Saturday farmers, Sunday brunch, various lectures or workshops in the regular program,” Bleska told his plans.

The guests’ interest has already tested the unique tentacle space with a number of possible uses. “So far it has been a temporary period, the tenant tried what could be there,” said the curator of the Prague embankments, Petr Hozman. with the proviso that in recent weeks concerts of acoustic music have proved their worth. However, visitors also enjoy the nearby boat rental or the possibility of water zorbing, which is an adrenaline cruise on the water in an inflatable ball.
The official opening of the tent will take place on Thursday, July 29. “Due to the fact that the tent is open for just over a fortnight, a lot of people come here, a lot of tourists,” added the bartender of the local restaurant Robin (24). Behind the fact that people are coming in a big way, there may also be a new barrier-free access from Divadelní street. Mothers with prams or the handicapped can also get here comfortably. Others are just a few steps from the National Theater tram stops (lines 17, 18 and 2).
