The Prague metro has a top speed of 80 kilometers per hour allowed. You would look in vain for a steering wheel in the driver’s cab. So how do you control yourself? “There are a lot of buttons. We also have two pedals there. One serves as a horn, “describes Lukáš. But professionals do not use this word correctly. “Only owls are honking. The drivers and the subway do not sound, but they pay attention to the signal, “explains Lukáš.
The second pedal is the so-called vigilance pedal. When operating the set without the usual security systems, for example in a depot, the driver must have this pedal depressed. If he feels bad and releases the pedal, the train will stop by itself and will not crash into anything.

He has to prove that he can handle this demanding job. “AND then it is important to have at least an electrical school or a mechanical school, ”Lukáš calculates. On the other hand, he adds that today he is giving up a bit and it is enough if one learns everything.
After the health tests, the candidate will receive a six-month course. They learn regulations and other necessary knowledge for three months. equipped test and three months of training, when the future driver rides in the cabin with an older colleague.
