The third vaccination center opens in Prague-Smíchov without registration
The first two places for unregistered applicants opened in the capital a week ago. In his weekend video on social networks, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES) stated that 4058 people were vaccinated in the shopping center in Chodov from Monday to Friday, and 2309 people were vaccinated at the main railway station. The Nový Smíchov shopping center will be vaccinated daily from 9 am to 8 pm, and the Motol University Hospital will be in charge of the operation.
Several dozen people were waiting for vaccination in Smíchov before the opening. First in line was a man who introduced himself as Hugo. He didn’t want to reveal more about himself.
“I came because I want to speed up my departure for a holiday and not wait for a second date in the future,” Iva Iva Voldižárová from Prague told a reporter for the Prague daily.
In Chodov, a safe from Pfizer / BioNTech is vaccinated, in OC Nový Smíchov from Moderna and at the main railway station a one-off from Johnson & Johnson.
So far, vaccinations in the Czech Republic have been vaccinated in various centers in hospitals, halls, exhibition grounds and the like since the end of last December. People needed registration to do that. According to Babiš, the number of doses administered in July will exceed 10 million, and more than 4.2 million people are fully vaccinated in the country.
Letters also have to attract vaccination. Last week, insurance companies sent permits to vaccinate more than half a million people over the age of 60, Babiš said. This week, they plan to send a letter to the remaining unvaccinated policyholders over the age of 18.
