At the main station, there is a single-dose substance from the Johnson & Johnson company, so you just stand in line and have the whole vaccination process behind you. The opening hours of this center are currently from 12 to 19 hours, after the end of the fortnightly pilot operation it could be extended by morning hours.
They can apply here at least a hundred a day, which corresponds to approximately 14 vaccinated per hour.
“We will see what interest there will be, if it is great, we will be able to strengthen. Inside is an office worker who fills out a form with people. The administration does not burden the nurse and the doctor, it is very fast, “described Jan Kvaček, director of the Bulovka University Hospital, which operates the space.
“It would probably be possible to increase capacity, but we are limited by space, the Railway Administration would have to free up more space for us,” Kvaček explained.
Do you like the first, second, or both doses?
According to the Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch (for YES), it is even possible to have only the first dose applied in Chodov and to register elsewhere for the second or vice versa.
“The possibility is here, but it is not exactly what we would prefer. It is ideal for us to come to the same place. But if he comes without registration for the second dose, then his colleagues will certainly not refuse and vaccinate him. The goal is to really reach out to so-called passers-by. Those who go shopping, for example, and decide to get vaccinated, “said the minister.
The new vaccination procedure is aimed mainly at the young generation, so among those vaccinated, it will draw lots once a week for the iPhone 12 mobile phone, once a day for Converse sneakers or vouchers on the Steam gaming platform. The prizes for the competition were provided by the Ministry of Health.
Before leaving for vacation, 19-year-old Jana Pařízková from Prague also came to stand in line. “We are going with our parents in Slovakia and they changed the date of our vaccination, we should not have time to leave. I only found out about the lottery in the morning, but I didn’t come because of it, “Pařízková entrusted to the Prague daily.
Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES) also came to see the new surgery in person. When you want to talk to the people in line, you run into your opponents. “How are you sleeping, Prime Minister, when so many people have died of covid?” The woman with the banner asked him. Hlouček was surrounded by several members of the police, but in the end they did not have to intervene.
Babiš also reminds that currently four antigen tests and two PCRs are paid for by the public health insurance per month, according to which, however, the state will no longer pay in any of them. According to Babiš, similar places could also be opened in other shopping centers in Prague and Brno.
According to experts, low vaccination coverage and more social contacts are also due to the reduction in the number of new cases, which occur especially among young people aged 16 to 29.
