Authorization order. Soldiers of the active reserve are still vaccinated in Prague
The midfielders will help the staff of the Central Military Hospital in the vaccination center from July 14 to August 15. They will be deployed in shift mode and will be supplemented by 70 professional soldiers, who have served as assistants in the center since its opening and oversee its operation and security.
According to Dvořáková, the deployment of an active backup is a pilot project. “The midfielders helped throughout the pandemic as volunteers in other ways. Now is the time to call them to the service. We also want to verify the process of mass recruitment of active reserve, which has been governed by new legislation since 2016,” said Opata.
The midfielders will take turns after seven days, with 55 in each rotation. A total of 220 will be exchanged in four weeks. “” Dvořáková remarked.
The midfielders will receive a summons. “The law does not require it to the army, the reservists were approached in advance and will be called only to those whose deployment does not cause serious complications in private or professional life. Due to the time is not easy,” said the commander of the territorial forces, Colonel Antonin Genser. Soldiers in active reserve will be called in, who are included in the Regional Military Headquarters of the Capital City of Prague and the Central Bohemian Region.
Vaccination of soldiers is not mandatory
The chief hygienist of the Ministry of Defense advised the midfielders to be vaccinated against covid before deployment, but it is not mandatory. If they are interested in vaccinations, the military will provide them. The first dose will be enough for them. According to the operational commander Josef Kopecký, the army waited with the deployment of reservists for a higher vaccination of the company, so that it could set aside safe for active reserves.
If, according to Dvořák’s project, it proves successful and the army is still needed for vaccination, the monthly deployment can be extended.
The spokesman recommends that active reserve soldiers can be deployed on Czech territory for up to seven months a year, deployment can be preceded by up to twelve weeks of training.
The army is also renewing the full-time training of active reserve units, and practical training will cover hundreds of midfielders from June.
