Among the sought-after tourist destinations in Prague, tourist trams – ČT24 – Czech Television – will run throughout the holidays
An audio guide is prepared for both lines of tourist trams. The ticket will cost two hundred crowns and will be valid for twenty-four hours for both lines. According to the information on the transport company’s website, those interested can only buy a ticket from a tram guide and it cannot be used on regular regular public transport connections in Prague. There will be three cars from the times of Austria-Hungary, four from the 1st Republic and also trams T1, T2 and T3.
Campaign In Prague at home, which is to attract tourists to the metropolis, was launched by the Prague City Hall together with its company Prague City Tourism (PCT). The city has launched the same campaign and will give tourists special vouchers, for which they will receive discounts or free admission to museums, galleries or cultural monuments. They receive vouchers for this when they stay in one of Prague’s hotels. Vouchers can be used by people until August 31. The operation of the tourist tram is a novelty in this year’s tourism support program in Prague.
Last year, the In Prague at Home program attracted over 70,000 visitors, who spent an average of three nights in the capital. The number of domestic visitors increased year-on-year. Tourists spent over two million crowns in Prague over two walls. Four hundred hotels and boarding houses and over sixty monuments and cultural facilities took part in the program. Last year, the municipality invested over one hundred and twenty million crowns in the campaign. Of these, the city has returned 50 million PCTs, which they will use this year.
